The Pool House

The Pool House project is a particular favourite of ours here at Studio Ember. The room was a real sanctuary for the client and also gave the family so much joy and space to play together. The original outbuilding already existed on the site just a few meters from the main house.
We wanted to ensure that the eye would travel around such a linear space and we achieved this with statement lighting in the seating area, textured pots, botanicals and textiles.
We kept a tight colour palette with touches of luxury by using black and brass within the lighting and ensuring the textiles were of a washed tone. This visually uncluttered approach enabled an inviting and relaxing energy in a relatively minimalist space.
